We are pleased to announce the annual American Cancer Society’s Hope on the Coast to be held Saturday November 13, 2021 from 2-5pm, presented by Agilent Technologies Inc. The afternoon will be an exciting celebration of our continued fight against cancer.

We invite you to take the opportunity to honor our local cancer doctors, nurses, patients, and caregivers. This event will also be a time for us to re-commit to our legacy of supporting cancer researchers.

A Benefit for American Cancer Society

With your support, the American Cancer Society saves lives by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against cancer. The American Cancer Society is working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4.6 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate, so please join us.

Locally, in 2019, we provided over 300 free rides and 33 free overnight accommodations for cancer patients receiving cancer treatment. In addition, over 400 hospital referrals and 300 residents were either provided with specialized services, such as free wigs, cancer information and additional free resources available in the community. Donations raised help locally to:

  • Deliver accurate and timely information to local cancer patients, families and caregivers, via our 24/7 toll-free support hotline (1-800-ACS-2345)
  • Further Educate the community in the Central Coast about the importance of cancer screenings and prevention

  • Provide free rides and/or accommodations for local cancer patients to and from treatment
  • Increase local cancer research grants for new diagnosis, treatment, and to cure cancer as a the number one Global cause of death.
